ARRIVAL

When you come in for your infusion, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork, and one of our doctors will perform a screening physical examination, and answer any further questions you may have. Our staff will make you as comfortable as possible in our spa-like office! Barring any issues or concerns, we will get started- no further testing or imaging is required for you to obtain the treatment.

TREATMENT

TREATMENT – NASAL SPRAY OR I.V.

We will bring you into one of our private treatment rooms, with natural sunlight and equipped with state-of-the-art, hospital-grade monitors and medical equipment.

You can make yourself comfortable in a power reclining chair for treatment. Ketamine can be administered either through a hand-held nasal spray (Spravato) or though an I.V. infusion. If you are using Spravato, you will be given instructions for inhaling the nasal spray whereas if you are receiving I.V. Ketamine our staff will place your I.V. line. I.V. administered Ketamine is typically done for around 40-50 minutes. You will be conscious and aware the entire time. Some people only feel drowsy while others experience a degree of dissociative effect. Some people report mildly uncomfortable symptoms such as nausea or dizziness which can be readily addressed by our medical staff.

POST-TREATMENT

You will need to be picked up or arrange a ride home. We recommend that patients rest the remainder of the day (no heavy activities, driving). We advise patients to drink plenty of water and rest.
